Fiori Hermes started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes into the game, GUARANI FC's Fiori Hermes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cleiton de Moraes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 10 minutes into the match, C.Atlético Internacional's goal looked a bit too open when Váldson Bueno came free, but Cleiton de Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cleiton de Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fiori Hermes in the 11th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Romário Botelho managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.Atlético Internacional's supporters rose to their feet, but Romário Botelho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nilson Romero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Sílvio Luiz Gomes came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the C.Atlético Internacional fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sílvio Luiz Gomes couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Romário Botelho managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.Atlético Internacional's supporters rose to their feet, but Romário Botelho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nilson Romero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 18 minutes of play, GUARANI FC's Váldson Bueno made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cleiton de Moraes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Váldson Bueno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cleiton de Moraes having to interfere. A collision led to GUARANI FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Samuel Mota hit a great ball. After 27 played minutes C.Atlético Internacional got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Vieira. Romário Botelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilson Romero having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fiori Hermes in the 34th minute of play forced C.Atlético Internacional's goalkeeper Cleiton de Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, C.Atlético Internacional's Osmar Dracena got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 38th minute, Váldson Bueno left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GUARANI FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Váldson Bueno during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 42nd match minute, GUARANI FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Váldson Bueno to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fiori Hermes in the 44th minute of play forced C.Atlético Internacional's goalkeeper Cleiton de Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Osmar Dracena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half GUARANI FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Romário Botelho to strike the kick off in the second half. Romário Botelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilson Romero having to interfere. Nilson Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romário Botelho in the 56th minute of play. Cleiton de Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Váldson Bueno in the 73rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in GUARANI FC's zone, Romário Botelho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nilson Romero came out of the goal and Romário Botelho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 89 minutes into the match, C.Atlético Internacional's goal looked a bit too open when Claudinei de Sena came free, but Cleiton de Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Váldson Bueno hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 91st minute, Osmar Dracena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 96th minute Fiori Hermes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cleiton de Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The C.Atlético Internacional manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing GUARANI FC to win.
