Ciro do Valle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osmar Dracena in the 15th minute of the match. C.Atlético Internacional's Romário Botelho got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Romário Botelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciro do Valle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osmar Dracena in the 22nd minute of play. Osmar Dracena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Romário Botelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute, Robinho Maciel fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Romário Botelho hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Osmar Dracena kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Robinho Maciel succeeded in the game's 38th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Osmar Dracena struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Ciro do Valle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.Atlético Internacional. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Romário Botelho was the one to do the kick off. Ciro do Valle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Osmar Dracena's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Hernani Matos hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After 55 played minutes C.Atlético Internacional got a freekick which was hit by Osmar Dracena. Robinho Maciel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Cleiton de Moraes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cleiton de Moraes came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by AC Milan's Robinho Maciel. But to his dismay, Robinho Maciel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. A collision led to AC Milan getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Magno Sanches hit a great ball. Romário Botelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Ciro do Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Valdo Maciel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Romário Botelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro do Valle having to interfere. Juan Passos's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 79thth minute, Ciro do Valle skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some careless play in the C.Atlético Internacional defense, Juan Matos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cleiton de Moraes. The C.Atlético Internacional fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cleiton de Moraes should have stopped the shot. AC Milan's attack was well implemented in the 93rd minute, but when Nando Brasil was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Romário Botelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. C.Atlético Internacional's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because AC Milan had won, even though C.Atlético Internacional had held more of the ball.
