Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cristiano Senna kicked off to start the match. In the 7th minute Cristiano Senna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Alberto Eger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Cristiano Senna notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Dormideira SC's Carlos Alberto Eger. Carlos Alberto Eger was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 10th minute Toninho Novaes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Alberto Eger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Toninho Novaes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Toninho Novaes came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the S.E. Palmeiras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Toninho Novaes couldn't finish the play. Carlos Alberto Eger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Senna, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Cristiano Senna put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Carlos Alberto Eger. S.E. Palmeiras's Cristiano Senna got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlos Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th minute of the match Zé Braga shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlos Alberto Eger showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in S.E. Palmeiras's zone, Carlos Fonseca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lauro Matos came out of the goal and Carlos Fonseca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joel Sanches charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joel Sanches the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. S.E. Palmeiras's Toninho Novaes got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When S.E. Palmeiras's Cristiano Senna in the 48th minute got a chance for a shot 48th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dormideira SC's goalie prevented a goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kaká Pinho was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, S.E. Palmeiras's Marquinhos Guimarães got a free kick in the 52nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristiano Senna in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Alberto Eger saved Dormideira SC from getting behind. Hugo Nóbrega hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Toninho Novaes might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlos Alberto Eger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Toninho Novaes ran back to his position shaking his head. Richard Araújo hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. 66 minutes into the match, Dormideira SC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Senna came free, but Carlos Alberto Eger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Toninho Novaes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Alberto Eger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Kaká Pinho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lauro Matos was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. After 78 played minutes S.E. Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by Toninho Novaes.
