In the 6th minute of the match, Kauan Amaral got a very nice opportunity to score, but Elano Maia was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 8th minute, 27 de Mayo's Hélio Pernambucano ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Elano Maia. Elano Maia yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Elano Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davi Novaes in the 11th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Kauan Amaral cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Elano Maia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 19 minutes into the game, Kauan Amaral cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Elano Maia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kauan Amaral in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elano Maia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kauan Amarals short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Elano Maia to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Jucatan getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Nando Arantes hit a great ball. Jucatan's Elano Maia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Jucatan from getting a goal against them. Elano Maia made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Tiaguinho Moreno sent off a good shot on target. Yuri Ceresso's late challenge caught a 27 de Mayo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yuri Ceresso helped the player get up and apologised. Elano Maia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kauan Amaral went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. 41 minutes into the match, Jucatan's goal looked a bit too open when Davi Novaes came free, but Elano Maia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Dito Pirani managed to get in a good position for a shot. 27 de Mayo's supporters rose to their feet, but Dito Pirani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elano Maia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kauan Amaral got free with Elano Maia in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Deivid de Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elano Maia having to interfere. With a little luck, Jucatan's Elano Maia got control of the ball when Kauan Amaral tried to sneak it across the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gabriel Souza to make the kick off. Elano Maia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kauan Amaral in the 61st minute of the match. Kauan Amaral took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elano Maia. Elano Maia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. In the 66th minute Fiori Sá shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elano Maia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kauan Amaral might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elano Maia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kauan Amaral ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 69th match minute, 27 de Mayo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dito Pirani to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st minute, Valdemar Quintal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 27 de Mayo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. 77 minutes into the match, Jucatan's goal looked a bit too open when Ciro Gaspar came free, but Elano Maia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th minute Davi Novaes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elano Maia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélio Pernambucano in the 80th minute of play forced Jucatan's goalkeeper Elano Maia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Cristóvão Prado came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the 27 de Mayo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristóvão Prado couldn't finish the play. After 89 played minutes Jucatan got a freekick which was hit by Kaká Queiroz. 92 minutes into the game, Tiaguinho Moreno cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Elano Maia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee ended the match the 27 de Mayo players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
