The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the game, Twan Schmidt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sambô Laion FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Escola de Atletas do Azul the free kick. After a rather tough play, Sambô Laion FC's Twan Schmidt got a free kick in the 7th minute. After 7 played minutes Escola de Atletas do Azul got a freekick which was hit by Duarte Falcão. Narciso Oliveira was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gilmar Corrêa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. In the 16th match minute, Escola de Atletas do Azul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateusz Chuchro to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Escola de Atletas do Azul's zone, Twan Schmidt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Narciso Oliveira came out of the goal and Twan Schmidt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 27th minute Gilmar Corrêa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narciso Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilmar Corrêa scored 2-0 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Narciso Oliveira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Escola de Atletas do Azul getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Renatas Legeckas hit a great ball. 36 minutes into the match, Sambô Laion FC's Henry Hammen broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 38 minutes into the game, Gilmar Corrêa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Narciso Oliveira. Gilmar Corrêa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Narciso Oliveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilmar Corrêa in the 44th minute of the match. Escola de Atletas do Azul's Narciso Oliveira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Escola de Atletas do Azul from getting a goal against them. 47 minutes into the game, Gilmar Corrêa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Narciso Oliveira. Gilmar Corrêa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gilmar Corrêa made a kick off. Twan Schmidt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wellington Duarte struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Narciso Oliveira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sambô Laion FC. In the 65th minute Gilmar Corrêa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narciso Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute, Gilmar Corrêa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sambô Laion FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Narciso Oliveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilmar Corrêa in the 71st minute of play. In the 75th minute, Gilmar Corrêa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Narciso Oliveira was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. Twan Schmidt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute, Gilmar Corrêa made a precise shot to the right of Narciso Oliveira. Escola de Atletas do Azul's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. 98 minutes into the match, Escola de Atletas do Azul's goal looked a bit too open when Gilmar Corrêa came free, but Narciso Oliveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Sambô Laion FC fully deserved thier win.
