Dorival Gaúcho started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, SouzBurg's João Adolfo Passos got a free kick in the 3rd minute. A collision led to SouzBurg getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Dorival Gaúcho hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in SouzBurg's zone, Germano Paraibano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Júlio Toscano came out of the goal and Germano Paraibano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 21 minutes into the match, Sarutaia SC's goal looked a bit too open when Dorival Gaúcho came free, but Ulryk Czubski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Adolfo Passos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Ulryk Czubski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute, João Adolfo Passos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ulryk Czubski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Adolfo Passos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adrianinho Rezende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Júlio Toscano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Dorival Gaúcho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SouzBurg fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 40th minute Leonel de Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulryk Czubski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 41 played minutes Sarutaia SC got a freekick which was hit by Dráusio Amaral. If Leonel de Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ulryk Czubski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorival Gaúcho in the 45th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adrianinho Rezende stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Adrianinho Rezende sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Germano Paraibano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Toscano having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Leonel de Alcântara left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Adolfo Passos in the 61st minute of play forced Sarutaia SC's goalkeeper Ulryk Czubski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 63 played minutes SouzBurg got a freekick which was hit by Leonel de Alcântara. SouzBurg's Júlio Toscano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Germano Paraibano in the 66th minute of play. Júlio Toscano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Germano Paraibano in the 77th minute of play. If Leonel de Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. After 86 played minutes SouzBurg got a freekick which was hit by Joélson Rossi. The supporters of SouzBurg booed when Sarutaia SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silas Pena didn't get a good kick on the ball. When SouzBurg's Leonel de Alcântara in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sarutaia SC's goalie prevented a goal. 95 minutes into the match, Sarutaia SC's goal looked a bit too open when Dorival Gaúcho came free, but Ulryk Czubski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle sounded SouzBurg left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sarutaia SC.
