The crowd rose to their feet as TaRaO FC's Jerônimo Zonta slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Manuel Sarmento. That made the score 2-0 after 15 minutes of play. Severino Hoffmanns short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Manuel Sarmento to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Severino Hoffmann managed to get in a good position for a shot. TaRaO FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Severino Hoffmann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Sarmento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice moves Severino Hoffmann could shoot a difficult shot in the 23rd minute, which Manuel Sarmento however easily saved by the left post. Santos Futebol Clube's Manuel Sarmento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Santos Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jerônimo Zonta in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manuel Sarmento prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Jerônimo Zonta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jerônimo Zonta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manuel Sarmento came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by TaRaO FC's Severino Hoffmann. But to his dismay, Severino Hoffmann quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 44th minute, Severino Hoffmann left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The TaRaO FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The wind increased when Severino Hoffmann made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerônimo Zonta in the 51st minute of play forced Santos Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Manuel Sarmento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Santos Futebol Clube defense, Severino Hoffmann kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manuel Sarmento. The Santos Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manuel Sarmento should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Severino Hoffmann's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manuel Sarmento was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. When Severino Hoffmann came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the TaRaO FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severino Hoffmann couldn't finish the play. Manuel Sarmento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severino Hoffmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rdth minute of the game Severino Hoffmann who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Santos Futebol Clube's Manuel Sarmento was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Jerônimo Zonta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Manuel Sarmento. Santos Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jerônimo Zonta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Manuel Sarmento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerônimo Zonta in the 71st minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, Santos Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Jerônimo Zonta came free, but Manuel Sarmento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manuel Sarmento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Hoffmann in the 79th minute of the match. Pedrinho Cosme hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Severino Hoffmann in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manuel Sarmento saved Santos Futebol Clube from getting behind. After having played for 94 minutes, Jerônimo Zonta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TaRaO FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jerônimo Zonta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. TaRaO FC fully deserved thier win.
