Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Fausto Terra started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 4th minute of the match Bernardinho Dante sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leonardo Aparecido skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Paulas's zone, Fausto Terra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonardo Aparecido came out of the goal and Fausto Terra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 11th minute, Ronaldão Pimenta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leonardo Aparecido was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When Fausto Terra came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Bodoco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fausto Terra couldn't finish the play. Leonel Sena's late challenge caught a Paulas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonel Sena helped the player get up and apologised. Gabriel Ferreira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jânio Bertassi's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Leonardo Aparecido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlando Valladares in the 25th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Jânio Bertassi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paulas's supporters rose to their feet, but Jânio Bertassi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gabriel Ferreira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tomás Sergipano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Ferreira having to interfere. After 36 played minutes Bodoco got a freekick which was hit by Adalmo do Nascimento. Gabriel Ferreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilmar Reis in the 37th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Paulas's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Valladares came free, but Leonardo Aparecido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Geraldo da Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Ferreira having to interfere. After the first half Bodoco were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Jânio Bertassi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Gilmar Reis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paulas's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilmar Reis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gabriel Ferreira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paulas's Leonardo Aparecido proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Paulas from getting a goal against them. After 63 minutes, Jânio Bertassi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paulas and the Bodoco players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jânio Bertassi hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 69th minute, Bodoco's Fausto Terra ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Leonardo Aparecido. Leonardo Aparecido yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. In the 75th minute, Jânio Bertassi made a precise shot to the right of Gabriel Ferreira. Bodoco's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Fausto Terra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81st minute, Fausto Terra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Paulas's Geraldo da Cunha got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Orlando Valladares struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Leonardo Aparecido didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bodoco. 88 minutes into the match, Paulas's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Terra came free, but Leonardo Aparecido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jânio Bertassi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jânio Bertassi in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gabriel Ferreira saved Bodoco from getting behind. In the 96th minute, Paulas's Mário Meirelles seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Mário Meirelles the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Paulas protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Mário Meirelles had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 96 minutes into the game, one of Paulas:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Bodoco a penalty, 99 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Hélder Simão, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Paulas's Leonardo Aparecido. 1-4. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Bodoco walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
