In the 3rd minute, Jânio Bertassi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paulas's defense didn't have a chance, in the 6th minute, when Armando Mandrak scored to the left of an out of position Leonardo Aparecido, making the score, 1-0. Leonardo Aparecido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Mandrak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Armando Mandrak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 19 minutes, Fabiano Cardoso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paulas and the Cachambi FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 22nd minute, Cachambi FC's Armando Mandrak ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Leonardo Aparecido. Leonardo Aparecido yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Jânio Bertassi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Vinícius Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonardo Aparecido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Mandrak, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Leonardo Aparecido was out of position in the 31 minute of play, and Armando Mandrak capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Armando Mandrak really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Fausto Schmidt's shot from long distance in the 34th minute was not bad at all, but Paulas's Leonardo Aparecido knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Paulas's zone, Natanael Neves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonardo Aparecido came out of the goal and Natanael Neves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The wind increased when Jânio Bertassi made the kick off in the second half. Gilmar Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinícius Antunes having to interfere. In the 55th minute Armando Mandrak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Aparecido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonardo Aparecido didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Armando Mandrak went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of Paulas booed when Cachambi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Nóbrega didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Gilmar Reis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paulas's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilmar Reis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vinícius Antunes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jânio Bertassi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Vinícius Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonardo Aparecido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Mandrak, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 72 minutes into the game, Cachambi FC's Fred Fonseca nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leonardo Aparecido made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. 74 minutes into the game, Fred Fonseca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cachambi FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paulas the free kick. After a rather tough play, Cachambi FC's Fred Fonseca got a free kick in the 74th minute. Jânio Bertassis short, quick shot in the 79thth minute got Vinícius Antunes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 81 played minutes Cachambi FC got a freekick which was hit by Natanael Neves. Leonardo Aparecido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Mandrak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jânio Bertassi in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vinícius Antunes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jânio Bertassi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cachambi FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Paulas for a fine match.
