Denis Walmsley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jânio Bertassi, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. When Olívio Mineiro fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored TaRaO FC's protests and gave Olívio Mineiro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th match minute, TaRaO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olívio Mineiro to maneuver through the defense. If Jânio Bertassi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulas's Leonardo Aparecido proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Paulas from getting a goal against them. A hard shot 33 in the game by Severino Hoffmann from a close distance when the talented Leonardo Aparecido managed to make a qualified save. Paulas's players were relieved. A collision led to TaRaO FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Cleiton Xavier hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jânio Bertassi in the 39th minute of play forced TaRaO FC's goalkeeper Denis Walmsley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 40 minutes, Genílson Aparecido mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the TaRaO FC and the Paulas players grew even worse after the yellow card. Severino Hoffmann's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leonardo Aparecido read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Eduard Ponomarev notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Paulas's Leonardo Aparecido. Leonardo Aparecido was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Paulas booed when TaRaO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Luís Teles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 74th minute, Jerônimo Zonta made a precise shot to the right of Leonardo Aparecido. Paulas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. When Jerônimo Zonta came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the TaRaO FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jerônimo Zonta couldn't finish the play. After 79 minutes, Tomás Sergipano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paulas and the TaRaO FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Paulas getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Tomás Sergipano hit a great ball. In the 81st minute Jerônimo Zonta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Aparecido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Denis Walmsley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jânio Bertassi in the 83rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jânio Bertassi got free with Denis Walmsley in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Denis Walmsley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jânio Bertassi in the 96th minute of the match.
