Caio Britto made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Vicente Lago sent off a good shot on target. Castelhano EC 2004's Samuca de Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adalberto Zanette in the 17th minute of play. After having played for 44 minutes, Geovânio Perez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fc canelas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geovânio Perez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 46thth minute of the game Adalberto Zanette who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Castelhano EC 2004's Samuca de Sousa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Caio Britto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Lago in the 92nd minute of play. Castelhano EC 2004's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
