When Raúl Marinho fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fc canelas's protests and gave Raúl Marinho a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Fc canelas's Raúl Marinho got a free kick in the 8th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Raúl Marinho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jorge Ramalho. That made the score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. Lagedinho's Umberto Lara got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ulisses Falcão took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Caio Britto. Caio Britto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After having played for 33 minutes, Ulisses Falcão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lagedinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulisses Falcão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ulisses Falcão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caio Britto having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ulisses Falcão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Raúl Marinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Jorge Ramalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jorge Ramalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laerte Mandrak, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Caio Britto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Umberto Lara in the 67th minute. Fc canelas's Caio Britto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Fc canelas from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Fc canelas getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Erasmo Viana hit a great ball. 85 minutes into the game, Gláuber Siqueira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lagedinho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fc canelas the free kick. Edmundo Marques hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Fc canelas's Laerte Mandrak got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Umberto Lara hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. After 95 played minutes Lagedinho got a freekick which was hit by Gilvan Gerber. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Fc canelas fully deserved thier win.
