Kiko Alvarenga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 20 minutes into the game, Hugo Dante was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Furia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave scain the free kick. After a rather tough play, Furia's Hugo Dante got a free kick in the 21st minute. Armando Rocha's late challenge caught a Furia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jânio dos Santos hit a great ball. Jânio dos Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 38 minutes, David Souto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Furia's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Souto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Souto in the 40th minute of play forced scain's goalkeeper Raí Matos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dito Ferraz during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dito Ferraz kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. If David Souto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jânio dos Santos made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Valdemar Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oswaldo Leão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jânio dos Santos in the 58th minute of the match. When Jânio dos Santos fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored scain's protests and gave Jânio dos Santos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 60th match minute, scain was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jânio dos Santos to maneuver through the defense. 63 minutes into the game, Víðir Hafþórsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Oswaldo Leão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Jânio dos Santos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oswaldo Leão was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Kiko Alvarenga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raí Matos having to interfere. The supporters of scain booed when Furia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitinho Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Felix Arlo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Oswaldo Leão made a huge save. In the 85th match minute, scain was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Paulo Falcão to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Furia booed when scain was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dito Ferraz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edgard Vides hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Oswaldo Leão came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by scain's Felix Arlo. But to his dismay, Felix Arlo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The scain players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
