The Castelhano EC 2004 fans' excitement grew in the 5th match minute when Castelhano EC 2004's Ervin Lőrincz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. S.C. Internacional's Bogumil Jarmulowicz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save S.C. Internacional from getting a goal against them. In the 14th minute Castelhano EC 2004 were awarded a corner. Tombolo Wa Kadima De Las Cuevas went to the cornerflag to take it. Castelhano EC 2004's Tombolo Wa Kadima De Las Cuevas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Bogumil Jarmulowicz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rei Pelle in the 15th minute of play forced Castelhano EC 2004's goalkeeper Samuca de Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Castelhano EC 2004 getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Fortunato Paglione hit a great ball. In the 17th minute of the match Rei Pelle shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Samuca de Sousa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Castelhano EC 2004 booed when S.C. Internacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdomiro Ferraz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 21 minutes of play, Castelhano EC 2004's Ervin Lőrincz made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bogumil Jarmulowicz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Samuca de Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rei Pelle in the 26th minute of play. Samuca de Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldo da Mata in the 29th minute of the match. In the 34th minute Rei Pelle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuca de Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Castelhano EC 2004's Samuca de Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clemente Dionísio in the 40th minute of play. Osvaldo da Mata took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Samuca de Sousa. Samuca de Sousa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. If Osvaldo da Mata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Osvaldo da Mata was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Castelhano EC 2004's Samuca de Sousa got control of the ball when Hubert Pihl tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 52nd minute of the match S.C. Internacional got a corner. Castelhano EC 2004's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rei Pelle ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Rei Pelle almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Castelhano EC 2004's Samuca de Sousa did a great save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ervin Lőrincz in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bogumil Jarmulowicz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. S.C. Internacional's Bogumil Jarmulowicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ervin Lőrincz in the 60th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rei Pelle in the 61st minute of play forced Castelhano EC 2004's goalkeeper Samuca de Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute, S.C. Internacional's Clemente Dionísio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Gugu Ortiz kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Tombolo Wa Kadima De Las Cuevas was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 68th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Bogumil Jarmulowicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ervin Lőrincz, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Castelhano EC 2004's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tombolo Wa Kadima De Las Cuevas in the 72nd minute. Ervin Lőrincz's late challenge caught a S.C. Internacional's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ervin Lőrincz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 79th minute, Ervin Lőrincz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Castelhano EC 2004 getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Tombolo Wa Kadima De Las Cuevas hit a great ball. Luís Guilherme Donatello hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Rei Pelle charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rei Pelle the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
