Spectators: 6510 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 10) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Faustão Couto took the kick off in the first half of the match. José Chilavert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emílio Bueno in the 4th minute of play. In the 10th minute Jean Botelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Chilavert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Faustão Couto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tocaya EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Faustão Couto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Chilavert breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wiliam Baiano in the 14th minute of play forced S.E Frei Damião's goalkeeper José Chilavert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Pedro Carvalho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Frédson Fernandez made a huge save. José Chilavert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faustão Couto, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 26th minute, Emílio Bueno ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Chilavert was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. José Chilavert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faustão Couto in the 31st minute of play. Emílio Bueno charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emílio Bueno the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Emílio Bueno hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the match, S.E Frei Damião's goal looked a bit too open when Faustão Couto came free, but José Chilavert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Tocaya EC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Pedro Carvalho to make the kick off. In the 57th match minute, S.E Frei Damião was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredinho Trancoso to maneuver through the defense. Frédson Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th minute José Pedro Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frédson Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, S.E Frei Damião's José Chilavert got control of the ball when Wiliam Baiano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jean Botelho's late challenge caught a S.E Frei Damião's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
