The audience thought a goal was coming when Ulysses Albuquerque got free with Rubens Batista in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ulysses Albuquerque could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Rubens Batista made a huge save. Rubens Batista was out of position in the 24 minute of play, and Armandinho Ortiz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Armandinho Ortiz really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Tubarão EC's Rubens Batista proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Tubarão EC from getting a goal against them. The shot was a little too simple and Rubens Batista could save by the left post.
