S.E Frei Damião's José Chilavert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adilson Carvalho in the 21st minute of play. In the 33rd minute Washington Fernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serginho Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Chilavert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Humberto Figueiredo in the 34th minute of the match. Serginho Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Pedro Carvalho in the 39th minute. José Pedro Carvalho scored 3-0 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Serginho Amorim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. José Pedro Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adilson Carvalho to make the kick off. In the 58thth minute of the game José Pedro Carvalho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but TEXAS MZB's Serginho Amorim was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 61 played minutes TEXAS MZB got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Figueiredo. Delfim Messias hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. With his leg José Chilavert managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when TEXAS MZB's Manfredo Marinho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The TEXAS MZB fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Serginho Amorim should have stopped the shot. When the referee ended the match the S.E Frei Damião players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
