Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Marapanim's Olavo Nascimento started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Real Madruga booed when Marapanim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Leão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Róbson Castro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lenílson do Nascimento in the 5th minute. 5 minutes into the game, Dedé Marques was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Madruga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marapanim the free kick. Dedé Marques hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. When Real Madruga's Cafu Koehler in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Marapanim's goalie prevented a goal. If Lenílson do Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Róbson Castro made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Lenílson do Nascimento sent off a good shot on target. Through an outstanding action, after 19 minutes, Róbson Castro successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 20th minute Orlando Maia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Róbson Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Alex Leão notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Real Madruga's Róbson Castro. Róbson Castro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Róbson Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olavo Nascimento in the 28th minute of play. In the 29thth minute of the game Cafu Koehler who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marapanim's Toninho Peixoto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marapanim's Toninho Peixoto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cafu Koehler in the 32nd minute of play. Alex Leão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Róbson Castro made a huge save. Róbson Castro made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Alex Leão sent off a good shot on target. When Cafu Koehler came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Real Madruga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cafu Koehler couldn't finish the play. Róbson Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Leão in the 42nd minute of the match. Lenílson do Nascimento's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Róbson Castro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. Róbson Castro was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Orlando Maia capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Orlando Maia really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cafu Koehler to make the kick off. Cafu Koehler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cafu Koehler who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Toninho Peixoto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Real Madruga's Róbson Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Leão in the 62nd minute of play. In the 68th match minute, Marapanim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lenílson do Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Real Madruga's Dedé Marques got a free kick in the 69th minute. Real Madruga's Jonas Nascimento quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ricardo Hermes, made in the 75th minute of the game. A collision led to Marapanim getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Lenílson do Nascimento hit a great ball. If Cafu Koehler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 84 minutes of play, Marapanim's Lenílson do Nascimento made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Róbson Castro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Real Madruga's Róbson Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olavo Nascimento in the 88th minute of play. Róbson Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Leão, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Marapanim were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Real Madruga for a fine match.
