The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the match, Bonival's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Coelho came free, but Leandro Loureiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Coelho couldn't finish the play. In the 46th minute, Marcos Jacinto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gabriel Coelho to make the kick off. The referee ignored Bonival's protests and gave Eliseu Paranaense a yellow card for diving instead. Eliseu Paranaense hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Pedro Paulo Lago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oswaldo Rosado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oswaldo Rosado in the 83rd minute of play forced ThuGLife Mz's goalkeeper Pedro Paulo Lago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gabriel Coelho in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leandro Loureiro saved Bonival from getting behind. The supporters of ThuGLife Mz booed when Bonival was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseu Paranaense didn't get a good kick on the ball. ThuGLife Mz were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Bonival's much stronger midfield.
