An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernani Novaes in the 7th minute of play forced Bonival's goalkeeper Leandro Loureiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oswaldo Rosado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rômulo Silveira having to interfere. Leandro Loureiro came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Granjeiro FC's Marcinho Goiano. But to his dismay, Marcinho Goiano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Zé Madureira's late challenge caught a Bonival's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zé Madureira helped the player get up and apologised. After 20 played minutes Granjeiro FC got a freekick which was hit by Zé Madureira. Rômulo Silveira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcos Jacinto's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Marcinho Goiano's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Leandro Loureiro firmly grabbed it by the left post. Leandro Loureiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernani Novaes, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 32nd match minute, Granjeiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adalberto Arantes to maneuver through the defense. Rômulo Silveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Jacinto in the 37th minute of the match. Oswaldo Rosado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leandro Loureiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernani Novaes, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Bonival's Leandro Loureiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernani Novaes in the 42nd minute of play. Leandro Loureiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernani Novaes in the 45th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

After having played for 51 minutes, Ernani Novaes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Granjeiro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernani Novaes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leandro Loureiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dida Branco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 2-0 became the score in the 54th minute when Marcinho Goiano elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Marcos Jacintos short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Rômulo Silveira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Granjeiro FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Dida Branco hit a great ball. Ernani Novaes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 64 minutes into the match, Bonival's goal looked a bit too open when Marcinho Goiano came free, but Leandro Loureiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oswaldo Rosado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rômulo Silveira having to interfere. Bonival's Leandro Loureiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernani Novaes in the 75th minute of play. Leandro Loureiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adalberto Arantes in the 77th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Granjeiro FC's Lucas Alvarenga got a free kick in the 89th minute. The long shot by Oswaldo Rosado in the 90th minute really tested Rômulo Silveira's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Bonival's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
