An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustão Prado in the 19th minute of play forced Dark Side FC's goalkeeper Falcão Zanette to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Marquez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Falcão Zanette having to interfere. After having played for 25 minutes, David Marquez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cresciuma EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Marquez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Dark Side FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Hélder Sá hit a great ball. In the 30th minute, Faustão Prado made a precise shot to the right of Falcão Zanette. Dark Side FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Falcão Zanette showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matheus Aparecido in the 34th minute of the match. Juninho Cruz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurício Almeida in the 36th minute of play. A collision led to Dark Side FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Luiz Gustavo Valladares hit a great ball. If Faustão Prado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the match, Dark Side FC's goal looked a bit too open when Faustão Prado came free, but Falcão Zanette reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 45 minutes had been played when some careless play by Dark Side FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. David Marquez was slow to take the kick. During this time Cresciuma EC's players had a chance to rest. Cresciuma EC's César Senna was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Falcão Zanette in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Falcão Zanette didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Matheus Aparecido went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After the first half Cresciuma EC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maurício Almeida to strike the kick off in the second half. Juninho Cruz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maurício Almeida's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. When Ruy Saraiva fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dark Side FC's protests and gave Ruy Saraiva a yellow card for diving instead. Ruy Saraiva hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. When Cresciuma EC's David Marquez in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A collision led to Dark Side FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Natã Abraão hit a great ball. Faustão Prado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dark Side FC's Falcão Zanette proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Dark Side FC from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, David Marquez took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Falcão Zanette to make any attempt to save it. When the final whistle sounded Cresciuma EC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Dark Side FC.
