Chiquinho Mazza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Luisão Marquez made a huge save. Inter do Rio do Janeiro's Luisão Marquez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Inter do Rio do Janeiro from getting a goal against them. Luisão Marquez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dagoberto Pontes in the 11th minute of play. If Hudson Munhoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Inter do Rio do Janeiro's Luisão Marquez got control of the ball when Edu Quintal tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dagoberto Pontes in the 17th minute of play forced Inter do Rio do Janeiro's goalkeeper Luisão Marquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luisão Marquez came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Ciza EC's Silvinho Lopez. But to his dismay, Silvinho Lopez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Pedrinho Luz hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Inter do Rio do Janeiro's Luisão Marquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chiquinho Mazza in the 26th minute of play. 28 minutes into the game, Luís Fabiano Vergílio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ciza EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Inter do Rio do Janeiro the free kick. The supporters of Inter do Rio do Janeiro booed when Ciza EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Fabiano Vergílio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute, Dagoberto Pontes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luisão Marquez was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Inter do Rio do Janeiro's defense didn't have a chance, in the 47th minute, when Silvinho Lopez scored to the left of an out of position Luisão Marquez, making the score, 5-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hudson Munhoz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luisão Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hudson Munhoz in the 54th minute of the match. Inter do Rio do Janeiro's Luisão Marquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvinho Lopez in the 56th minute of play. In the 60thth minute of the game Luís Fabiano Vergílio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Inter do Rio do Janeiro's Luisão Marquez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 63rd minute Edu Quintal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisão Marquez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th minute, Silvinho Lopez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ciza EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-1.
