Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when José Paulo Castro took the kick off in the first half of the match. 2 minutes into the game, one of Palmeiras S.E.P:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. David Marquez shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Ricardo Pena kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. A collision led to Palmeiras S.E.P getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Luís de Godoi hit a great ball. 9 minutes in the game Kiko Messias did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Rogério de Moraes. After 11 minutes of play, Cresciuma EC's David Marquez made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gilson Alcântara was left in no man's land by his defense there! David Marquez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Gilson Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute José Paulo Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juninho Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th match minute, Cresciuma EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by César Senna to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 23 minutes, David Marquez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cresciuma EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Marquez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 27th match minute, Cresciuma EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldinho das Neves to maneuver through the defense. Gilson Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faustão Prado in the 29th minute of play. In the 34th minute, Palmeiras S.E.P's José Paulo Castro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Faustão Prado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Palmeiras S.E.P's Rogério de Moraes got a free kick in the 41st minute. Cresciuma EC's Juninho Cruz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Paulo Castro in the 43rd minute of play. Matheus Aparecido charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Matheus Aparecido the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Palmeiras S.E.P booed when Cresciuma EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matheus Aparecido didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Gilson Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Marquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. If David Marquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute José Paulo Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juninho Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Cresciuma EC's zone, Ricardo Pena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juninho Cruz came out of the goal and Ricardo Pena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 72 played minutes Cresciuma EC got a freekick which was hit by Faustão Prado. In the 79th minute, Ronaldinho Reis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cresciuma EC's David Marquez got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. José Paulo Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Gilson Alcântara made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Faustão Prado sent off a good shot on target. In the 89th minute David Marquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilson Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juninho Cruz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Pena in the 91st minute of play. In the 95th minute of the game Didi Perez made a throw-in which David Marquez played forward. Matheus Aparecido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Gilson Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
