After 13 minutes, Tiago Custódio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marianville Juniors FC and the Flamengo Football Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Dino Viana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flamengo Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Dino Viana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruninho Cardoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bruninho Cardoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dino Viana, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. In the 64th minute, Dino Viana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 70th minute Cesinha Braga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamílton Koehler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Dino Viana came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Flamengo Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dino Viana couldn't finish the play. Flamengo Football Club's Hamílton Koehler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesinha Braga in the 88th minute of play. Benjamim Sanches charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benjamim Sanches the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
