Marcinho Félix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard de Mendonça having to interfere. If Marcinho Félix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the match, Apinage SC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcinho Félix came free, but Richard de Mendonça reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 27 minutes into the game, Kaká Maranhense recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aílton Pinheiro. Kaká Maranhense showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Kaká Maranhense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diego Martins might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aílton Pinheiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Diego Martins ran back to his position shaking his head. Kaká Maranhense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aílton Pinheiro having to interfere. Guga Silveira kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Kaká Maranhense made the kick off in the second half. Aílton Pinheiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Martins in the 55th minute of play. If Diego Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aílton Pinheiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kaká Maranhense's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Fábio da Fonseca hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Aílton Pinheiro came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Apinage SC's Diego Martins. But to his dismay, Diego Martins quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 80th minute, Breno Paranaense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, TOP CORINTHIANS FC's Fábio da Fonseca tried to score from far away in the 81st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Diego Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Kaká Maranhense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aílton Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcinho Félix in the 96th minute of play forced Apinage SC's goalkeeper Richard de Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. TOP CORINTHIANS FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
