Jonathan Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juarês Coelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Sousa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adilson Recife's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. After a rather tough play, Itapirama's Cleiton Marquez got a free kick in the 21st minute. With a little luck, Valqueire Futebol Clube's Zeca Senna got control of the ball when Dinei Almeida tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Valqueire Futebol Clube's zone, Dinei Almeida stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zeca Senna came out of the goal and Dinei Almeida tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 34 minutes, Ediberto da Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itapirama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ediberto da Cunha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
