Cícero Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dinei Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cleiton Marquez's late challenge caught a Mirari AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cleiton Marquez helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Itapirama's Cleiton Marquez got a free kick in the 14th minute. Hamílton Munhoz kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Cícero Amorim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dinei Almeida's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Mirari AD's zone, Dinei Almeida stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cícero Amorim came out of the goal and Dinei Almeida tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Itapirama's Jonathan Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Souto in the 24th minute of play. If Ediberto da Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Itapirama's Jonathan Sousa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Itapirama from getting a goal against them. When Mirari AD's Marcos Souto in 34 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Jonathan Sousa guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. In the 39th match minute, Itapirama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cleiton Marquez to maneuver through the defense. Hamílton Munhoz was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 40th played minute, shot the ball from way out. In the 68th match minute, Itapirama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Roberto Amaral to maneuver through the defense. 84 minutes into the match, Marcos Souto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Sousa. Itapirama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcos Souto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ediberto da Cunha in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cícero Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulisses Cavalcante in the 90th minute of play forced Itapirama's goalkeeper Jonathan Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcos Souto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Mirari AD fully deserved thier win.
