Spectators: 6050 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 50) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ernani Félix started the match with the kick off. In the 7th minute Renan Esteves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abu Gosoc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ernani Félix in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Virgílio França saved Água Cristal FC from getting behind. When Renan Esteves fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Água Cristal FC's protests and gave Renan Esteves a yellow card for diving instead. In the 11th minute, Renan Esteves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ernani Félix hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Virgílio França made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natã Messias in the 15th minute of play. Ernani Félix struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Virgílio França didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Laranja Mecânica AF. Ernani Félix blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Virgílio França having to make a save. Ernani Félix recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ernani Félix in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Virgílio França prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Laranja Mecânica AF's Ernani Félix in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Água Cristal FC's goalie prevented a goal. Zé Ramalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 32 played minutes Água Cristal FC got a freekick which was hit by Murilo Donatello. Bernardinho Azevedo charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bernardinho Azevedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ernani Félix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgílio França having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Geraldo Bittencourt to make the kick off. A hard shot 55 in the game by Ernani Félix from a close distance when the talented Virgílio França managed to make a qualified save. Água Cristal FC's players were relieved. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Ernani Félix managed to get in a good position for a shot. Laranja Mecânica AF's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernani Félix was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Virgílio França breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tiago Freire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgílio França having to interfere. Ernani Félix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Virgílio França showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernani Félix, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Abu Gosoc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geraldo Bittencourt in the 71st minute of the match. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Água Cristal FC's goalkeeper Virgílio França, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Zeca Jacinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Abu Gosoc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 85 minutes into the game, Claudinho de Souza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Laranja Mecânica AF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Água Cristal FC the free kick. After 85 played minutes Laranja Mecânica AF got a freekick which was hit by Claudinho de Souza. Ernani Félix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgílio França having to interfere. Laranja Mecânica AF were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
