Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Campinense FC's Ismael Domingues started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Mirari AD's zone, Ismael Domingues stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cícero Amorim came out of the goal and Ismael Domingues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 5th match minute, Campinense FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdir Breckenfeld to maneuver through the defense. After 9 played minutes Mirari AD got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Souto. Dito Mineiro kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Campinense FC's zone, Ulisses Cavalcante stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bryan Cortés came out of the goal and Ulisses Cavalcante tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The throw-in from Tomás Capixaba in the 23rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Campinense FC's Valdir Breckenfeld. Bryan Cortés made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Egídio Castro sent off a good shot on target. Ulisses Cavalcante recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Carlos Eduardo Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot. Campinense FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Eduardo Queirós was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cícero Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 31st match minute, Mirari AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlando Urbano to maneuver through the defense. Valdir Breckenfeld received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Cícero Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Hamílton Munhoz fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mirari AD's protests and gave Hamílton Munhoz a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mirari AD fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 43rd minute. Penalty! Carlos Eduardo Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 57th minute, Campinense FC's Valdir Breckenfeld ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cícero Amorim. Cícero Amorim yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. 63 minutes into the match, Carlos Eduardo Queirós dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cícero Amorim, 0-3. Ulisses Cavalcante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bryan Cortés showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Souto in the 69th minute of the match. A collision led to Mirari AD getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Egídio Castro hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute, Carlos Eduardo Queirós got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 75 minutes into the game, Ricardinho Albuquerque was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mirari AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Campinense FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Mirari AD's Ricardinho Albuquerque got a free kick in the 75th minute. Campinense FC's Ismael Domingues got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Campinense FC's Bryan Cortés played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulisses Cavalcante in the 81st minute of play. If Ulisses Cavalcante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ulisses Cavalcante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bryan Cortés having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Ismael Domingues got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Filipe Alcântara hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. In the 94th minute Ulisses Cavalcante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bryan Cortés saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Campinense FC played a much better game than Mirari AD and deserved their victory. The Mirari AD players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
