Martin Joanes kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 11th match minute, Real Camaçari Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcos Paranaense to maneuver through the defense. 14 minutes into the match, Laranja Mecânica AF's goalkeeper Abu Gosoc had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roberto Pachistre. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aírton Proença got free with Abu Gosoc in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Vinícius Mattos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Laranja Mecânica AF's Ernani Félix in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Real Camaçari Futbol Club's goalie prevented a goal. Abu Gosoc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aírton Proença in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute of the match Real Camaçari Futbol Club got a corner. Laranja Mecânica AF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Aírton Proença ran over to the corner to take the kick. Real Camaçari Futbol Club's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Aírton Proença in the 30th minute. The attack was good, but when Roberto Pachistre in the 31st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. If Ernani Félix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute Vinícius Mattos suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Real Camaçari Futbol Club made a substitution. Arnaldo Ramos replaced Vinícius Mattos. After 36 played minutes Laranja Mecânica AF got a freekick which was hit by Juninho Cardozo. Roberto Pachistre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Abu Gosoc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Ernani Félix's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erasmo Linares was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Martin Joanes hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. When Natã Messias came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Laranja Mecânica AF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Natã Messias couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Real Camaçari Futbol Club's Arnaldo Ramos got a free kick in the 46th minute. Ernani Félix blasted a shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erasmo Linares having to make a save. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 52nd minute, Zé Ramalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roberto Pachistre took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abu Gosoc. Abu Gosoc dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Laranja Mecânica AF's Abu Gosoc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Pachistre in the 60th minute of play. Tiago Freire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Erasmo Linares made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Ernani Félix sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Laranja Mecânica AF's Tony Toscano got a free kick in the 65th minute. After a rather tough play, Real Camaçari Futbol Club's Arnaldo Ramos got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 81st play minute Natã Messias came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Erasmo Linares. 1-1. In the 86th minute, Arnaldo Ramos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abu Gosoc was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Erasmo Linares was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Beto Cabral showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 91 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Pachistre in the 95th minute of play forced Laranja Mecânica AF's goalkeeper Abu Gosoc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claudinho de Souza hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
