Valqueire Futebol Clube's Zeca Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Vítor Pinho in the 8th minute of play. After 8 played minutes Valqueire Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Rogério Leite. In the 10th minute Celsinho Pimenta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeca Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adilson Recife received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Carlos Dante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of MENGÃOF.C. booed when Valqueire Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gino Abraão didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Celsinho Pimenta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zeca Senna was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adilson Recife stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cássio Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Adilson Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes into the match, MENGÃOF.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Juarês Coelho came free, but Carlos Dante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 65th minute by João Vítor Pinho got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 69th minute of the match Nelsinho Saraiva sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlos Dante skillfully saved the ball. Carlos Dante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adilson Recife, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. João Vítor Pinho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zeca Senna read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Luiz Gustavo Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juarês Coelho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 82nd minute, Adilson Recife ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlos Dante was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Valqueire Futebol Clube's defense didn't have a chance, in the 85th minute, when João Vítor Pinho scored to the left of an out of position Zeca Senna, making the score, 2-2. Carlos Dante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adilson Recife in the 93rd minute of play. 97 minutes into the match, MENGÃOF.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Adilson Recife came free, but Carlos Dante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. MENGÃOF.C. were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
