Bernardinho Azevedo's late challenge caught a Laranja Mecânica AF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernardinho Azevedo helped the player get up and apologised. Virgílio França made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ernani Félix in the 45th minute. 46 minutes into the match, Laranja Mecânica AF's Zé Ramalho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Virgílio França narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bebeto Simões kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Laranja Mecânica AF walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
