Zamboni FBPA's Dorian da Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cássio Leite in the 22nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Zamboni FBPA's Júnior Baptista slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Donato do Vale. That made the score 1-1 after 23 minutes of play.
