Fausto Prata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Jauregui having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amadeu da Costa was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Favinhas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luan Veloz came free, but Lenílson Tepedino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Maloca's zone, Amadeu da Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonas Jauregui came out of the goal and Amadeu da Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 69 minutes, Adelino Araújo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Favinhas FC and the Maloca players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Maloca booed when Favinhas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adelino Araújo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fausto Prata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Jonas Jauregui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lenílson Tepedino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Dantas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
