Cássio Leite recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Jonas Loyola managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bagre Ariranha Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonas Loyola was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armandinho de Lara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Leria FC's zone, Cássio Leite stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armandinho de Lara came out of the goal and Cássio Leite tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Bagre Ariranha Clube's Donato do Vale got control of the ball when Pedrão de Lima tried to sneak it across the goal line. Diamantino Cabral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Donato do Vale made a huge save. In the 25th minute, Hermínio Motta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bagre Ariranha Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. A collision led to Bagre Ariranha Clube getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hermínio Motta made a kick off. In the 51st minute Diamantino Cabral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato do Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hermínio Motta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armandinho de Lara having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Hermínio Motta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A hard shot by Nilton Torres from long distance, 61 minutes into the match, got Armandinho de Lara's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When Raí de Almeida came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Leria FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raí de Almeida couldn't finish the play. After 64 minutes, Hélder Meirelles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leria FC and the Bagre Ariranha Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 65 played minutes Leria FC got a freekick which was hit by Hélder Meirelles. Cássio Leite could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Armandinho de Lara made a huge save.
