After 9 played minutes GRENAL FC got a freekick which was hit by Sidney da Silva. Luan Romero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Paulo Dracena in the 13th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Arikemes SS's zone, Otávio Furlan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oséas Tasso came out of the goal and Otávio Furlan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. GRENAL FC's Luan Romero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Luiz de Andrade in the 20th minute of play. A collision led to GRENAL FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Sidney da Silva hit a great ball. After some careless play in the GRENAL FC defense, Raimundo Matos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luan Romero. The GRENAL FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luan Romero should have stopped the shot. Luan Romero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Paulo Dracena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luan Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Matos in the 30th minute of play. After some careless play in the GRENAL FC defense, André Luiz de Andrade kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luan Romero. The GRENAL FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luan Romero should have stopped the shot. Luan Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Matos in the 35th minute of play. Luan Romero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Paulo Dracena in the 36th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, GRENAL FC's goal looked a bit too open when Raimundo Matos came free, but Luan Romero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Otávio Furlan managed to get in a good position for a shot. GRENAL FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Otávio Furlan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oséas Tasso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Claudinho Paranaense might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oséas Tasso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Claudinho Paranaense ran back to his position shaking his head. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Otávio Furlan made a kick off. Otávio Furlan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. GRENAL FC's Claudinho Paranaense got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the GRENAL FC defense, André Luiz de Andrade kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luan Romero. The GRENAL FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luan Romero should have stopped the shot. In the 63rd match minute, Arikemes SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raimundo Matos to maneuver through the defense. Luan Romero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Matos in the 75th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Matos in the 76th minute of play forced GRENAL FC's goalkeeper Luan Romero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oséas Tasso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Arikemes SS walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
