After some careless play in the FLAMENGO defense, Cássio Zago kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anıl Ege Akşin. The FLAMENGO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anıl Ege Akşin should have stopped the shot. Ludomir Golembiewski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anıl Ege Akşin having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Fortaleza Esporte Clube's Vito Arruda got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Laerte Ferraz, 23 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Anıl Ege Akşin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cássio Zago in the 59th minute of the match. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind FLAMENGO's goalkeeper Anıl Ege Akşin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
