Matheus Pitta in the 16thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Zé Augusto de Brito, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. EC Bahia's Dráuzio de Godoi got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dráuzio de Godoi took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vito Saraiva. Vito Saraiva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After a rather tough play, Juventus Foot Ball Club's Luan Galvão got a free kick in the 29th minute. If Matheus Pitta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matheus Pitta in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zé Augusto de Brito prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Magno Pernambucano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vito Saraiva having to interfere. The supporters of EC Bahia booed when Juventus Foot Ball Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robinho de Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. EC Bahia's Magno Pernambucano got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ezequiel Bueno hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dráuzio de Godoi to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute EC Bahia were awarded a corner. Bernardinho Couto went to the cornerflag to take it. Vânderson Porto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Vito Saraiva came out and tried to block the shot, but Vânderson Porto slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 62nd minute. 67 minutes into the match, Juventus Foot Ball Club's goalkeeper Vito Saraiva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Magno Pernambucano. In the 72nd minute Dráuzio de Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vito Saraiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 77 minutes of play, Juventus Foot Ball Club's Matheus Pitta made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zé Augusto de Brito was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 81 minutes, Matheus Pitta made it 3-2 with a short kick to the right side. EC Bahia's Zé Augusto de Brito tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Zé Augusto de Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matheus Pitta in the 84th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, EC Bahia's Vânderson Porto got a free kick in the 85th minute. After 86 played minutes, Juventus Foot Ball Club's Robinho de Barros shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Zé Augusto de Brito came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Juventus Foot Ball Club reached it. 88 minutes into the match, EC Bahia's goal looked a bit too open when Matheus Pitta came free, but Zé Augusto de Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th match minute, Juventus Foot Ball Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gil Nóbrega to maneuver through the defense. EC Bahia's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Juventus Foot Ball Club had won, even though EC Bahia had held more of the ball.
