Electrical Storm
Spectators: 7650 (Terracing: 5738, Seating: 1759, VIP seats: 153) Waldemar Hermes started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Leopoldo Mandrak blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leopoldo Seco having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Aguiar in the 9th minute of play forced Newtown EC's goalkeeper Leopoldo Seco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute 姜军彬 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopoldo Seco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Electric Warriors's goal looked a bit too open when Waldemar Hermes came free, but Jonathan Bittencourt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aloísio Pombal kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anselmo Maranhense got free with Leopoldo Seco in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Anselmo Maranhense scored 1-0 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leopoldo Seco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpected shot in the 22nd minute by Anselmo Maranhense got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Aloísio Pombal kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Anselmo Maranhense kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Leopoldo Seco. That made the score 2-0 in the 30 minute of play. When Leopoldo Mandrak fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Electric Warriors's protests and gave Leopoldo Mandrak a yellow card for diving instead. Anselmo Maranhenses short, quick shot in the 35thth minute got Leopoldo Seco to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Newtown EC's Leopoldo Seco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Newtown EC from getting a goal against them. Waldemar Hermes hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 43 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Anselmo Maranhense sped through Newtown EC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Leopoldo Seco. Anselmo Maranhense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Leopoldo Seco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Leopoldo Mandrak made the kick off in the second half. Electric Warriors's Leopoldo Mandrak got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 57 minutes into the match, Newtown EC's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Mandrak came free, but Leopoldo Seco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anselmo Maranhense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amador Ubarna hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute, Anselmo Maranhense made a precise shot to the right of Leopoldo Seco. Newtown EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Leopoldo Seco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anselmo Maranhense in the 74th minute of play. In the 75th match minute, Electric Warriors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leopoldo Mandrak to maneuver through the defense. Newtown EC's Leopoldo Seco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo Maranhense in the 84th minute of play. Leopoldo Seco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anselmo Maranhense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Leopoldo Mandrak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Newtown EC defense, Anselmo Maranhense kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leopoldo Seco. The Newtown EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leopoldo Seco should have stopped the shot. Leopoldo Seco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anselmo Maranhense in the 92nd minute of play. Jonathan Bittencourt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Waldemar Hermes in the 94th minute. When the referee ended the match the Electric Warriors players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
