Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dráuzio de Godoi kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute, EC Bahia's Magno Pernambucano ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rubens Ferraz. Rubens Ferraz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 8th minute, Trahira's Fiori Bezerra seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Fiori Bezerra the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Trahira protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Fiori Bezerra had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 8th minute, Fiori Bezerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 9th minute, Magno Pernambucano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Trahira's Rubens Ferraz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vânderson Porto in the 11th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Egídio Neto got free with Rubens Ferraz in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rubens Ferraz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vânderson Porto in the 13th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Trahira's Oséias Mandrak got a free kick in the 14th minute. Rubens Ferraz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vânderson Porto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute, Egídio Neto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rubens Ferraz was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. When Paulo Renato Prado fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Trahira's protests and gave Paulo Renato Prado a yellow card for diving instead. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulo Renato Prado made a kick off. Rubens Ferraz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vânderson Porto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
