An unexpectedly hard shot by Egídio Neto in the 13th minute of play forced Vicenzi's goalkeeper Cássio Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Vicenzi's goalkeeper Cássio Arruda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Egídio Neto. Joaquim Mattos hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the game, Magno Pernambucano recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cássio Arruda. Magno Pernambucano showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. After 28 minutes, Dário de Sousa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the EC Bahia and the Vicenzi players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to EC Bahia getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Dário de Sousa hit a great ball. Cássio Arruda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dráuzio de Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Dráuzio de Godoi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cássio Arruda came out and tried to block the shot, but Dráuzio de Godoi slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 33rd minute. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Cássio Arruda successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Cássio Arruda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Magno Pernambucano in the 40th minute. 44 minutes into the match, Vicenzi's goalkeeper Cássio Arruda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Egídio Neto. Zé Augusto de Brito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dênis Barreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cássio Arruda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vânderson Porto in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Cássio Arruda made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. 63 minutes into the match, Vicenzi's goal looked a bit too open when Egídio Neto came free, but Cássio Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Egídio Neto scored 6-0 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cássio Arruda, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Vicenzi's Josué Freire got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 69th minute, Dráuzio de Godoi made a precise shot to the right of Cássio Arruda. Vicenzi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. In the 73rd minute Egídio Neto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio Arruda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cássio Arruda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dráuzio de Godoi in the 75th minute of the match. Gilvan Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 81 minutes of play, EC Bahia's Egídio Neto made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cássio Arruda was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 87th minute, William Gerber left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The EC Bahia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. 94 minutes into the match, Vicenzi's goal looked a bit too open when Egídio Neto came free, but Cássio Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. EC Bahia fully deserved thier win.
