Spectators: 5003 (Terracing: 4001, Seating: 1001, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Marcel Dantas started the match with the kick off. Crespo Esporte Clube's Simão Montenegro got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 9 minutes into the match, Crespo Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Edu Carvalho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Fabiano Proença. When Guize FC's Marcel Dantas in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Crespo Esporte Clube's goalie prevented a goal. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Marcel Dantas sped through Crespo Esporte Clube's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Edu Carvalho. The crowd rose to their feet as Guize FC's Marcel Dantas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Edu Carvalho. That made the score 2-0 after 35 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcel Dantas in the 39th minute of play forced Crespo Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Edu Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute Marcel Dantas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edu Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernandinho Dionísio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcel Carioca's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Abel de Queiroz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Crespo Esporte Clube's Marcel Carioca in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Guize FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 46th minute, Abel de Queiroz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcel Carioca to strike the kick off in the second half. Abel de Queiroz succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 55th playminute. 59 minutes into the game, Guize FC's Marcel Dantas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edu Carvalho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. When Marcel Dantas came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Guize FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcel Dantas couldn't finish the play. After having played for 71 minutes, Abel de Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Crespo Esporte Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abel de Queiroz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcel Carioca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abel de Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Fernandinho Dionísio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th minute, Bebeto Dantas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edu Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Fabiano Proença in the 80th minute of play. Luís Fabiano Proença scored 5-1 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edu Carvalho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcel Carioca in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernandinho Dionísio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 91st minute, Doriva Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Fernandinho Dionísio managed to avoid a goal in the 97thth minute, when Crespo Esporte Clube's Marcel Carioca fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The Guize FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
