After some careless play in the São Vicente FC defense, 董傲坚 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rafinha Madureira. The São Vicente FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rafinha Madureira should have stopped the shot. 11 minutes into the match, E C Barra da tijuca's goalkeeper Vito Ramalho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wilian Perez. 14 minutes into the game, one of São Vicente FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 18 played minutes E C Barra da tijuca got a freekick which was hit by 龚桑榕. With his leg Vito Ramalho managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when São Vicente FC's Augusto de Barros fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 20 played minutes E C Barra da tijuca got a freekick which was hit by Guga da Silveira. Augusto de Barros received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Vito Ramalho came out and tried to block the shot, but Augusto de Barros slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 21st minute. 董傲坚 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafinha Madureira having to interfere. 董傲坚 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Gustavo Lopes charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Gustavo Lopes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 28th minute, Luís Gustavo Lopes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 董傲坚 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vito Ramalho came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by São Vicente FC's Wilian Perez. But to his dismay, Wilian Perez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. 龚桑榕 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafinha Madureira having to interfere. Belmiro Prestes kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as São Vicente FC's Augusto de Barros slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vito Ramalho. That made the score 4-1 after 43 minutes of play. After having played for 47 minutes, 董傲坚 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. E C Barra da tijuca's supporters crossed their fingers, but 董傲坚 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

The supporters of E C Barra da tijuca booed when São Vicente FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edinho Godoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 53rd minute Wellington Araújo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vito Ramalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilian Perez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When São Vicente FC's Wilian Perez in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. E C Barra da tijuca's Vito Ramalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wellington Araújo in the 64th minute of play. In the 67th minute Wilian Perez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vito Ramalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vito Ramalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto de Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If 董傲坚 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 董傲坚 came free with the goalkeeper in the 76th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Rafinha Madureira could save by the left post. E C Barra da tijuca's Vito Ramalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilian Perez in the 81st minute of play. In the 84th minute, Wellington Araújo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The São Vicente FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-2. Vito Ramalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto de Barros in the 88th minute of play. If 董傲坚 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 93 minutes, Orlando Sousa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the E C Barra da tijuca and the São Vicente FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to E C Barra da tijuca getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Orlando Sousa hit a great ball. In the 97th minute Wilian Perez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vito Ramalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. São Vicente FC were victorious despite being under pressure from E C Barra da tijuca for much of the match.
