The audience was convinced that Iuri Messias's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vito Ramalho was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Vito Ramalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinho Albuquerque in the 15th minute of the match. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind E C Barra da tijuca's goalkeeper Vito Ramalho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Guga da Silveira hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, E C Barra da tijuca's 龚桑榕 got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Vito Ramalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinho Albuquerque in the 47th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Manfredo de Medeiros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vito Ramalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murillo Sabóia, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Claudinho Albuquerque could shoot a difficult shot in the 83rd minute, which Vito Ramalho however easily saved by the left post. Vito Ramalho came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Leria's Iuri Messias. But to his dismay, Iuri Messias quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. 89 minutes into the match, E C Barra da tijuca's goal looked a bit too open when Manfredo de Medeiros came free, but Vito Ramalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Claudinho Albuquerque could shoot a difficult shot in the 90th minute, which Vito Ramalho however easily saved by the left post. Vito Ramalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basílio Sá in the 91st minute of the match. In the 95th minute Manfredo de Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vito Ramalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudinho Albuquerque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vito Ramalho having to interfere. Leria played a much better game than E C Barra da tijuca and deserved their victory. The E C Barra da tijuca players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
