Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Manfredo de Medeiros made the kick off and thus started the match. Claudinho Albuquerque sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Manfredo de Medeiros's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frédson Lopes was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulo Nunes during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 23rd minute, Paulo Nunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fernandão Rosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rony Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute, Rony Mendonça got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Leria's zone, Rony Mendonça stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernandão Rosa came out of the goal and Rony Mendonça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rony Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 48 minutes of play, Leria's Claudinho Albuquerque made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Frédson Lopes was left in no man's land by his defense there! All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rony Mendonça was the one to do the kick off. When Leria's Manfredo de Medeiros in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Locomotiva's goalie prevented a goal. Frédson Lopes came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Leria's Claudinho Albuquerque. But to his dismay, Claudinho Albuquerque quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Manfredo de Medeiros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Locomotiva's Rony Mendonça got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Locomotiva's Frédson Lopes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manfredo de Medeiros in the 71st minute of play. Frédson Lopes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Claudinho Albuquerque went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manfredo de Medeiros in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frédson Lopes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Leria booed when Locomotiva was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco do Valle didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Leria's Fernandão Rosa got control of the ball when Valdir Albuquerque tried to sneak it across the goal line. Claudinho Albuquerque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frédson Lopes having to interfere. Marco do Valle was shown his second yellow card after 85 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Marco do Valle hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Valdir Albuquerque could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Fernandão Rosa made a huge save. Claudinho Albuquerque sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Claudinho Albuquerque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leria walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
