The audience thought a goal was coming when Amauri Zonta got free with Toninho Bertassi in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sílvio Vasconcelos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamim Marinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 9th minute, Cícero Amaral made a precise shot to the right of Sílvio Vasconcelos. Reinado AD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. C.'s Zé Pedro Marquez got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ciro Seco kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renato Rosado in the 31st minute of play forced Reinado AD's goalkeeper Sílvio Vasconcelos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cícero Amaral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 35 minutes into the game, Cavalcante F. C.'s Cícero Amaral nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sílvio Vasconcelos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. 40 minutes into the match, Reinado AD's goal looked a bit too open when Cícero Amaral came free, but Sílvio Vasconcelos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Andrézinho Meirelles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benjamim Marinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valdemar Costa lost his temper 47 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card.

In the 69th minute, Benjamim Marinho made a precise shot to the right of Sílvio Vasconcelos. Reinado AD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Toninho Bertassi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Luís de Medeiros in the 80th minute of play. A collision led to Reinado AD getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Sílvio Luís de Medeiros hit a great ball. Benjamim Marinho struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Sílvio Vasconcelos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cavalcante F. C.. 90 minutes into the match, Benjamim Marinho dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sílvio Vasconcelos, 3-4. Amauri Zonta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toninho Bertassi having to interfere. Cavalcante F. C.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
