The shot was a little too simple and Celsinho Ferreira could save by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Clube Atlético Lençoense's zone, Hílton Amaral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulinho Breckenfeld came out of the goal and Hílton Amaral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 12 minutes into the match, Bota Casaco's Hílton Amaral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulinho Breckenfeld narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Celsinho Ferreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dagoberto Siqueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zé Carioca hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After 19 played minutes Clube Atlético Lençoense got a freekick which was hit by Dagoberto Siqueira. 25 minutes into the match, Bota Casaco's goal looked a bit too open when Dagoberto Siqueira came free, but Celsinho Ferreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andrézinho de Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 37 minutes into the game, Clube Atlético Lençoense's Jacinto Mazza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Celsinho Ferreira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Paulinho Breckenfeld took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudinho Couto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hílton Amaral stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Válbson Rosa hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Bota Casaco's Virgílio Neiva shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 56th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Paulinho Breckenfeld but with some difficulty. When Hílton Amaral came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Bota Casaco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hílton Amaral couldn't finish the play. Luizão Simão hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Egídio Valle during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Clube Atlético Lençoense booed when Bota Casaco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egídio Valle didn't get a good kick on the ball. Perivaldo Botelho made in the 74th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Ricardo Marquez immediately put the ball in play. Jacinto Mazza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Celsinho Ferreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zé Carioca's late challenge caught a Clube Atlético Lençoense's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zé Carioca helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Mazza in the 80th minute of play forced Bota Casaco's goalkeeper Celsinho Ferreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bota Casaco's Breno Pena managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Valério Berger in the 82 minute of the game. Wesley Coutinho kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. When Clube Atlético Lençoense's Dagoberto Siqueira in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bota Casaco's goalie prevented a goal.
