Falcão Peres charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Falcão Peres the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience was convinced that Bernardinho Velasco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daniel Lima was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Bernardinho Velasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Lima having to interfere. When Bernardinho Velasco came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Loucos da Bola FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardinho Velasco couldn't finish the play. 42 minutes into the match, Grêmio Vista Alegre's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardinho Velasco came free, but Daniel Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, Nilmar Tinoco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Michel Tepedino made a kick off. With a little luck, Grêmio Vista Alegre's Daniel Lima got control of the ball when Bernardinho Velasco tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 57th minute of the match Falcão Peres sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Inge Sundström skillfully saved the ball. In the 67th minute, Loucos da Bola FC's Jack Ekblom dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernardinho Velasco in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniel Lima prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 71st minute, Raúl Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Michel Tepedino kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Francisco de Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Daniel Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernardinho Velasco hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Francisco de Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute, Jack Ekblom ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Daniel Lima was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Despite being the better team, Loucos da Bola FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
