Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Benedito Silva started the match with the kick off. 7 minutes into the game, Breno Tinoco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Recife Pe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Reinado AD the free kick. Breno Tinoco kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. José Carlos Pontes hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Reinado AD's Telmo Botelho couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 10th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Recife Pe. 13 minutes into the game, Recife Pe's José Carlos Pontes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sílvio Vasconcelos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 25th minute Benedito Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Vasconcelos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Recife Pe's Tomás Berger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Recife Pe from getting a goal against them. After 32 minutes, Edmundo Andrade mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Reinado AD and the Recife Pe players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 32 played minutes Reinado AD got a freekick which was hit by Edmundo Andrade. When Andrézinho Meirelles fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Reinado AD's protests and gave Andrézinho Meirelles a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Reinado AD getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Andrézinho Meirelles hit a great ball. Aírton da Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 0-2 became the score in the 42nd minute when Aírton da Costa elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amauri Zonta got free with Tomás Berger in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ronaldinho Loureiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aírton da Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Andrézinho Meirelles hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Reinado AD's Sílvio Vasconcelos got control of the ball when Aírton da Costa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ronaldinho Loureiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64th minute, Aírton da Costa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Recife Pe fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Aírton da Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Vasconcelos having to interfere. Ronaldinho Loureiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tomás Berger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ronaldinho Loureiro ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Caetano Veiga during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Reinado AD getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Caetano Veiga hit a great ball. Aírton da Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Sílvio Vasconcelos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sílvio Vasconcelos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedito Silva in the 80th minute of play. If Amauri Zonta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ronaldinho Loureiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th match minute, Recife Pe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Carlos Pontes to maneuver through the defense. After 94 played minutes Recife Pe got a freekick which was hit by Aírton da Costa. The Recife Pe players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
