After a defensive mix-up in Buriche's zone, Erivaldo Cardoso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Renan Hoffmann came out of the goal and Erivaldo Cardoso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gernando Sabóia made in the 5th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Ferwe SC's Augusto Rodrigues. After a rather tough play, Buriche's Betão Mendonça got a free kick in the 8th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Betão Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot. Buriche's supporters rose to their feet, but Betão Mendonça was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dito Fontes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 20th minute, Ferwe SC's Leandro Neto seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Leandro Neto the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Ferwe SC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Leandro Neto had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 19 minutes into the game, one of Ferwe SC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Erivaldo Cardoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 27 minutes into the match, Ferwe SC's goal looked a bit too open when Samuca Meireles came free, but Dito Fontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A throw-in in the 30th minute of the game was made by Gernando Sabóia with Magno Rocha as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 34 minutes into the match, Buriche's goal looked a bit too open when Erivaldo Cardoso came free, but Renan Hoffmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Ferwe SC booed when Buriche was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chiquinho Sá didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Erivaldo Cardoso came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Ferwe SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erivaldo Cardoso couldn't finish the play. The wind increased when Magno Rocha made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Erivaldo Cardoso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Renan Hoffmann. Buriche's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Erivaldo Cardoso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 60th minute, Tomé Paulista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 68 minutes into the match, Ferwe SC's goal looked a bit too open when Samuca Meireles came free, but Dito Fontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Magno Rocha notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Ferwe SC's Dito Fontes. Dito Fontes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Samuca Meireles took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Dito Fontes to make any attempt to save it. In the 86th minute, Magno Rocha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dito Fontes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. In the 90th minute, Betão Mendonça hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 91 minutes, Gernando Sabóia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Buriche and the Ferwe SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 93rd minute of the match Kauã Sarmento shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Renan Hoffmann showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Sidnei Perez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Buriche eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
